Dog photography as therapy — photo galleries, and gentle memories from the lives of Vanya the Landseer and his family pack. Twelve stories, accompanied by 530 images (out of 70,000 owned by my owner), have been published so far. No Photoshop or similar.

Dog Photography as Therapy
Hi, yes, sometimes life feels heavy… Even for humans, who always seem so busy and serious.
That’s when photos — especially dog photos — can work like therapy. At least, that’s what one kind professor has told my owner: When life feels heavy, I look at Vanya’s photos. It’s like psychotherapy.
I, Vanya the Landseer, never studied psychology, but I understand what she means. My masters often say that dogs see the world differently — with more joy, honesty, and humour. And when those moments are captured in photos, they bring comfort, even to people far away. Dog photography may not cure every sadness, but it surely makes hearts lighter.
Meet Our Family

Vanya — A Landseer by breed, a Lensseer by spirit.
A storyteller, a guardian of memories, and sometimes just a silly dog with a camera smile.
By breed, I’m a Landseer — a gentle giant of the dog world. But with my owner’s camera, I become the Lensseer: the one who sees and shares stories through the lens.

Richie — From Monster to Gentleman
By looks, he was once called a monster — an American Bandogge, a mix of bull terriers and mastiffs.
His appearance never changed, but with his owner’s love and trust Richie became the gentleman of our pack, calm and loyal to the core.

Mochi — The Corgi Lady
Our youngest is always full of energy, charm, and a bark that can shake the house.
By breed, she is a corgi, but not the short and chubby kind you might imagine. Mochi is slim, quick, and full of charm — always ready to play, always ready to be admired.
Forever in Our Hearts
Some of our family members have already crossed the rainbow bridge. They are no longer by our side, but they will always live in our hearts and in our stories. Each photo is a memory, each memory is love.

🌈 Baloo — The Dark Knight of the Woods 🌈
My full Pedigree name was The Dark Knight of the Woods — a title I carried from birth. Strong as a knight, gentle as a friend. Though I’ve crossed the rainbow bridge, my kind eyes and quiet strength live on in every photo and in every memory of our family.

🌈 Toby — The Brave One 🌈
Small in size but mighty in courage. I’ve crossed the rainbow bridge, yet my spirit still runs free in the fields of memory. Curious as ever, I once tried to run away six times — not out of mischief, but because I wanted to explore the world. The sixth escape ended with a trip to the police, and that story is still told with a smile. Read or even listen to this story here. My love and loyalty, though, never faded.
When people observe us — playing, resting, running in the garden, or simply staring with curious eyes — something softens within them. Tension eases. Smiles reappear.
So if you feel tired, worried, or lonely — take a look at our blogs, click on the gallery buttons, and share a bit of our joy. Dog photography might not cure every sorrow, but it certainly lightens hearts.
What Surrounds Us
The joy of life comes not only from us, the dogs, but also from the nature around us — our island, the sea, the garden, and its gifts. These are captured in our galleries too.
Where our story begins — on the Isle of Wight, surrounded by the sea.

The Beach and Its Treasures
Every walk on the beach brings new treasures from the ocean.

The Garden in Bloom
Closer to home, our garden fills the air with flowers and roses.

Harvest from the Garden
And in the garden beds and greenhouse, simple gifts grow with care and love.
